Michel Boucquillon was born in 1962 in Belgium, he graduated in Architecture in 1988 in Brussels. The same year he wins the Architecture award “Van Hove” and works in Florence for two years. At the age of 26, he won the Architecture contest for the hemicycle of Brussels’ European Parliament for which he designed also the furniture. His career in the world of design starts: VALLI & VALLI asks him to produce a handle, TECHNOLUX wants him to design the lamps and TECNO wants Michel to design the furniture for the hemicycle.

In 2005 he wins the “Design Plus” award. Now he has an Architecture Studio in Brussels and a product-design Studio in Lucca. He works for the most prestigious companies among which SERRALUNGA, ARTEMIDE, VALLI & VALLI, and more. Michel Boucquillon designed for Serralunga a series of products for outdoor furniture: garden lounger, design lamps, outdoor pots, outdoor chairs and outdoor tables.
